I'm planning on building an amp with the following characteristics :
- Fender style
- tremolo circuit from the Bandmaster 6G7-A
- spring reverb
- single 6V6 output
- single 10" speaker
What I have in mind is to take the 6G7-A schematic as a starting
point and replace the PI and output section with a Champ output.
Then add a typical Fender reverb circuit.
I'd like to use Allen Amps TP40D (320V-0-320V @ 180ma,
5V @ 3A, 6.3V @ 4.5A) power transformer along with the
TO11C output transformer.
Is there any problem with this idea ? Suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Paul P
