No. Just, no.

At least that outer paper label is made in the USA."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

Chuck: I wonder if just the outer paper was printed in the usa. Heh.
The whole "Fender guitar amplifier capacitor with marked outer foil" is the "product". The actual rolled up and sealed foil/dielectric part of the "product" looks too close to all the other over seas manufactured caps available in all colors that are marketed by TAD, SOZO, Jupiter, etc. Since there is a lot of leeway in the use of the moniker "Made in U.S.A." it's often possible to use some parts of a composite product that are made elsewhere. As long as SOME parts are actually made in the USA and the product is assembled here you can, under some circumstances, print "Made in U.S.A." on the product. If ALL the parts are made somewhere other than the USA I think you have to say "Assembled in" rather than "Made in" the U.S.A. Sooo... Since I'm pretty damn certain the sealed foil and dielectric part of that product is made in China, and "Made in U.S.A." is printed on the monikered and outer foil marked paper that the specialized label is made and applied right here in good ol' US of A."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Somebody oughta break one open, see if there isn't a no-name polypro cap or similar, hiding in the middle of the plastic cylinder. This has already been done with Gibson's "bumblebee" 2-for-$135.00 caps. Under the black plastic moulded exterior, there's a no-name-brand film cap, you'd pay maybe a dollar for.
Time to break this out again: over at our friendly neighbor site The Amp Garage an 85-entry thread with photos, fakerino capacitors. Some of our newer members may not have seen this yet, and it's always fun to review it for those who are familiar:

Their "Tone Saver" caps are way more expensive...
https://shop.fender.com/en-US/parts/...706416049.html
$40
or $50 EACH https://shop.fender.com/en-US/parts/...706417049.html
cause nothing saves like spending!
Interesting tech though:
"Dual solder point design for easy addition"
hate those single solder point caps!
Gibson sell many of those "Historic Reissue" Bumblebees for $50 each? Maybe not enough?

Not to derail the thread, but...
John H has a better solution than the typical 1n/150k treble bleed circuit. By using a dual ganged pot the EQ curve is greatly improved and the pot taper for at least the top half of the pot adjustment is improved. Unfortunately the pot taper is still too fast from zero to around five like the standard 1n/150k circuit. But whatcha gonna do.?.
