Somebody oughta break one open, see if there isn't a no-name polypro cap or similar, hiding in the middle of the plastic cylinder. This has already been done with Gibson's "bumblebee" 2-for-$135.00 caps. Under the black plastic moulded exterior, there's a no-name-brand film cap, you'd pay maybe a dollar for.

Not to derail the thread, but...
John H has a better solution than the typical 1n/150k treble bleed circuit. By using a dual ganged pot the EQ curve is greatly improved and the pot taper for at least the top half of the pot adjustment is improved. Unfortunately the pot taper is still too fast from zero to around five like the standard 1n/150k circuit. But whatcha gonna do.?.

Like you need an orange drop for that? Here's where a nice cheap disc cap works fine. I took John Suhr's advice 30 years ago: 680 pF and 150K.
