Preamp tubes 12V heater

Hi

Has anyone any experience with 12Vdc heater voltage on tubes such as ECC83? I have a neat little power supply which feed 12Vdc, 3.0A...

I figure it should be possible to run the two heaters of the preamp tubes in series.

Always did 12VDC regulated heater supplies in high gain amps. First two tubes are enough but sometimes I feed all preamp tnbes from the regulated supply. To avoid CF failure you can elevate them as well. Because I get my PTs from local businesses I always order a separate 15VAC/1A secondary just in case.
