I have a platinum record band customer who has a side project where his 65 Super Reverb is his main amp. He has a Quilter that sits on top of his SR as a back up. I made him a long enough speaker cable that if his SR fails at a gig, he can just unplug from the SR and plug into the Quilter, and go. He thinks it sounds close enough for this application, and he is fussy. I don't know which model.
And for the record GW has said enough ridiculous things for me to not be a fan, not to mention the crazy repair claims. YMMV.
