Time for a little experimentation
Found an old radio in a junkshop today :-). The whole thing is D.O.A.
But couldn't resist crazy impulse to acquire said junk. (I blame Enzo for suggesting a few months ago that I try an get hold of an old tube amp to modify - I think I might've gone a little off beam) One of the 6V6Gts has a crack in the plastic base, but its a neat looking tube - totally black inside the glass
Was pondering some sort of simple guitar amp - with the exception of the 6v6GTs I think these other tubes are the sort of tubes that don't use an O/T, they've got a wire c oming out the top (please do correct me if I'm wrong, but I can only see one tranny inside the beast and that is next to the power supply).
I thought I saw someone posting something about a simple guitar amp using these kind of tubes without an OT somewhere (was it here?) a while back - scratching my head?
There is
1 x ECH35
2 x EF39
1 x EBC 33
These appear to be all Mullard types (well at least they're covered in red paint)
1 x EL33 slot - that has been subbed for 6V6GT (the one with the cracked bakelite base - see photo following)
1 x 6x5GT
1 x 6U5
