  • Footswitch build For Vibroverb

Am I correct in assuming that on the Fender 6G16 model that the reverb and tremelo are switched on and off by shorting tip to ground?

I don't know the answer, but I'm glad you asked. I bought two used amps and neither came with the foot switch. I'd like to build one for each and save a little money. In my case I only need a single button switch.

Have you looked at the schematics? Try here for a start.

with a one button footswitch, it is simply two conductor cable with a switch in the end. any switching or shorting to ground is done inside the amp. but, if you are making the footswitch out of metal then earth the case.
Amps: 15 Watt DIMCO valve amp made in New Zealand in the '60s, Fender Performer 1000, Sovtek Mig-50.
Guitars: Fender USA American Standard Strat and Tele, LTD MV-200 (Modded), Ibanez S Series (modded), and cheap Cort acoustic with Fishman.

      Play hard, sound good
