Well that is a legitimate way to interpret his post. Either he meant to ask was it OK to connect a 100 watt amp to an 80 watt speaker, or he meant was it ok to ask an 80 watt speaker to draw 100 watts.

I guess if we don't agree on what is asked, then our answers won't agree either.
