I'm in the middle of a build and I think I'd like to add a 6 volt rectifier to the circuit. The TF I'm using has around 800vct and I know that's over the limit for a cap input filter with this tube. How long will it last? I'm only planning to draw about 100ma at idle and less than 150ma under load.
There is only one 6 volt winding on the transformer so I don't want the cathode/fil winding to break down- it could get ugly in a hurry!
I guess I could use dropping resistors or an extra filament TF for a higher power rect but I thought I'd ask first.
