  • tube amp attenuators

Can i get some links to some SCEMS of some of the tube amp attenuators out there , like the Power Brake , hot plate , etc...

Wondering if it would be fairly simple to build one of these guys ... tired of the Police at my door at 3am......

this would be for a 50-120w tube amp

For the money involved, I'd just buy a Weber Attenuator... He's got the best prices I have found.

There is a schematic and layout for the Ken Fisher Airbrake over at the Trainwreck forums (www.ampgarage.com). Search there.

Just remember that your attenuator needs to be able to handle twice the power rating of your amp (e.g 100W for a 50W amp).

        heres a 200w from weber--in the lower left corner called " simple 8 ohm 200w att. "

It has an 8ohm resistor in there--can you change it to a 4 ohm with no problems ? My cab is 4 or 16 only.
