Hi!
Time ago i found an archived post in Blueguitar.com talking about a mod for any Fender with reverb (Twin-deluxe-etc).
The mod, called somethig like "Dave Funk Mod", involved use the first half 12AT7 (reverb driver) as a gain stage.
Basically, the parelled 12AT7 is divided and only the 2nd part is use for the reverb circuit.
Other inportant point in the mod is that the V2 (the 2 firsts gain stages) is re-wired as a cathode-follower, so the signal from the imput jacks goes direct to Pin2.
Just after the new cathode-follower, the tonestack is inserted, followed by the volumen pot.
Them comes the free half 12AT7 who send the signal to the coupling cap before the Reverb circuit...
My questions are:
1. Can the input signal drive hard enought the cathode-follower?
2. Shouln´t be the volumen pot before the tonestack instead after?
The mod is descrived in a Pdf, named as "bf_trix", all way down in the list...
I was thinking in do this mod and would like any conment or correction.
thanks in advance, and again... sorry for my bad english!
