    I found this little overview article of interest. Includes some discussion of class of operation - just what IS the difference between class G and H?

    The old Soundcraftsman power amps, MA5001 and RA7501, touted themselves as Class H, but were really Class G. Class G uses switched hi/lo rails, and Class H modulates the rails, which is what you see in big guns like the Crown Macro-Tech series.

    Checked out that site Enzo, and it's a cool read. Never can read enough about anything, I say.

      I think a key ingredient to confusion about G and H classes is that the definitions are in fact reversed in some areas.
