  • Calculating cutoff frequency

    Hey all,
When I use the 2*pi(RC) equation it always comes out with the decimal one place to the left...??

    If I enter a typical instance for a triode input i.e. 1meg and .022uf:

    1/(6.28(1,000,000*.000,000,022))

My TI-73 calculator spits out 7 hertz... should be 70 hertz right?

7 Hz is the right answer.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

My Excel worksheet spits out 7.24, close enough.
