Concerns with possible audio hum from transformer in preamp rack build.

Hello all I was in the middle of placing boards, components and the toroidal transformer I bought for this build within an old rack chassis that I’m repurposing. While trying to get an idea as to where I should place everything I ran into a concern with the probability of hum being introduced in the circuit from the toroidal transformer as even if I stick it in the corner of the rack as far away from the preamp circuit it’s still about 4” away from where I plan to place the master volume control. Am I overthinking this as to my understanding the toroidal doesn’t emit a strong of a magnetic field as a EI tranny or is this toroidal way too close to the master volume control which will cause noise? Will a toroidal shield fix this or will this be a lousy “bandaid”? I haven’t drilled anything out yet, only placed the pots in the preexisting holes.

Look at eighteen zillion rack one-space units, commonly with toroids, hum not an issue there.

And if it does matter, I don't think of shielding as a bandaid, it is just a design element.
