    How do we find pin 1 on a SMD chip with no dot or end notch? Can we assume pin 1 is at the lower left with respect to designation printing?

    It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

    Can you see a slightly beveled edge on one side of the package? That's the pin 1-4 side.
    It looks like the bottom edge on your pictures so pin 1 would be bottom left.

              It''s the standard. Pin 1 is the lower left corner when facing correctly what's printed on the IC.
