    I had a 10K GS on Stage 1 of my Express build but took it off for giggles.. I quickly started having a Spinal Tap moment.. LOL
    What's the lowest I can run that will block RF??

      Yeah, I have that book. This has been talked about in other Threads.
      So you like the 10K with a 100pf to ground??

          I'm fine with the traditional 34k in my Marshall and Fender amps at the input triode (without an additional cap).
          While the value could be lowered to maybe 10k regarding RF (which starts at about 100kHz), I don't expect any audible benefit from doing so.

            Cool. I put it all back in. I was flip flopping on the benefits of a GS but in my case it was needed..
            Sometimes you have to relearn what you already knew..
            I switched out my power tubes and now it sounds like it should.. When they wear out in this amp, the tone gets blatty almost like blocking distortion.
