  • Tube stage question

Came across this schematic in the "Dirty Ground" Topic.
I am not familiar with the V2 circuit following the V1 Cathode Follower.
    Anyone wants to clarify ?

It's basically a push pull cathode follower. Probably has a name, but i not familiar with it.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

V2 is wired as a "White cathode follower" (for more details see Merlin's book about Hifi tube preamps).
The 2 stacked triodes operate in push-pull mode.
Gain is close to 1, output impedance is low (important when driving high input capacitance power MOSFETs) and THD is low.
