Hallelujah! Thanks to Chuck, I pulled it apart again, lo and behold, this time I noticed the neg lead of the 2.2uF cap is broken. Popped in a 2.2uF electrolytic and it's back!

Thanks as always. At least now I understand the smd nomenclature better.
