  • How to open an YGM-3 Traynor?

Hi fellows, I have a YGM-3 Traynor, 1977, recently the pots turn scratchy. This baby is a tank, I retired the screws, but cannot acces to the guts. Another thread about a YGM-4 say he has a "flip top". I tried to flip the top, but this not open, ¿can be blocked? ¿does anyone know how to open the case?
    Thanks!

If your amp is a flip top, it will have the chrome and rubber strip running around each side piece. Remove the 4 bolts from the top of the amp. Loosen the 4 bolts, 2 on each side, that go into the chassis from the side. Sometimes the top sticks to the side panels but a little bump with the palm of your hand or prying between the top panel and the top of the chassis with a flat blade screwdriver should loosen it up.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !
