I have a 1980 Peavey Mace VTX w/ 2- 12" Black Widows (original spkrs).
The manuals are confusing... one Mace manual says I can add a 4 ohm load which would create full 2 ohm power and states the Mace has a 4 ohm output on the orig spkrs.
A Mace/Deuce manual states that 8 ohm or 4 ohm loads can be added.
My Mace has 1 Main and 1 Aux jack that is labelled 4 ohms. So I'm assuming adding a 4 ohm cabinet is perfect. This would give me 160 watts @ 2 ohms.
Can someone recommend a good nowadays 4-12 cab to use and how to rewire since all new cabs seem to be 16 ohm?
Thanks!
