Hello again. This time I have a question about modifying the tremolo circuit in a Magnatone M9. Is there a way I can tweak the circuit to broaden the range of the speed control? Even when turned all the way down to it's slowest setting it's still pretty fast and I wouldn't mind it being a little faster when all the way up... I've attached the schematic. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

tremolo speed mod
To speed up the tremolo, try changing the .02 cap in the tremolo oscillator circuit to a .01, (smaller=faster). To broaden the range, try a 1 meg speed pot. Tremolo circuits need to be tweaked pretty much by trial and error. Just remember to make only one change at a time, so you can tell if you are going in the right direction. I've found it's hard to get a wide range of both speed and depth at the same time with some circuits. I would be glad to hear what others have experienced when trying this mod. Jon

Change the pot to a 1 Meg and the 220K in series with it to 120K or 150K.WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
