  • Can anyone identify this old tube amp?

Just got 2 pics of it. Was given to me. So this is all of it. Anyone know what make this amp is? Model? Guess I'll get to changing caps and see/hear what it sounds like.

Probably someting Japanese. Be careful. This amp has no power transformer. It is a series filament amp. If you don't use an isolation transformer it could kill you.

          KILLER AMP

It's very easy to identify it: it's the amp which will KILL YOU. Period.
Do not even think to plug it in, not even "checking with a multimeter/marking the power plug/whatever"
Besides, please do not imagine that *this* is the Holy Grial of Tone or some other romantic ideas, because it is not.
Best wishes and please keep alive.

Yeah right. And your a "know-it-all"....you assume I know nothing. Thanks. Sounds like you have nothing better to do than knock people.

Too funny...try working with 1000+ watt transmitters....Gosh people not everyone on here is an idiot. I just wanted to know the make and model...all other comments are fruitless. I have tried to add a pic of front of cab but keep getting "This is not a valid image file." Yet it is same as others posted?

Well, besides trying to know what amp it is (we all would), you clearly imply you want to actually plug it in and play a little guitar:
and see/hear what it sounds like.
Besides, no one is trying to knock you off.
                In any case, 120V will.

Well, you can get killed by an H bomb or a virus. In this case you have a series filament amp with a hot chassis. The fellows that you are getting annoyed with are VERY experienced bench techs and are only trying to help. The depth of knowledge on this board is astounding. A front shot might identify it. It's probably a Tiesco or something. Seriously, you can make an isolation transformer from two identical trannys back to back or buy one for this low of current pretty cheap. If you know as much as you portend, then you will know that this type of design is very dangerous and it takes a miniscule current across your chest to stop your heart.
