I recently scored this amp at a garage sale. It had been in someones shed for a long time. I have the amp sounding good now but the hardware is rusted. Will replacing the hardware devalue this amp?

Just because you replace the old hardware doesn't mean you have to throw it away. If it bugs you, put new hardware on it.
I keep the old hardware in a large zip lock bag and label the bags with magic marker. The amps that I have replaced hardware on, you really can't tell the difference other than lack of rust. There are no stamps or identifying marks on the amp corners, chassis straps, handle hardware etc...

Re-plating the original corners is probably the way to go, if you can,t live with a little rust. I have ordered two different brands of corners for a '68 Bassman head and neither of them even came close to covering the original 'footprint' or aligning with the screw holes....not to mention the cheaper thin quality of the metal. What happened to the "good 'ol days"! Handles and straps seem to line up OK. But here again, lower quality metal!
