  • Old Mod on Marshall JMP 50wt

    I've had this Marshall head since about 1983 or so and I've recently been looking it over and noticed that 3 resistors in the bias circuit have been changed from 220k to 150k. A few years ago I converted it from 6550 to EL34s and you can seen the metal film resistor I piggy backed to get the bias correct.
    The amp sounds fantastic but do you think I should replace those 3 resistors with 220ks and re-bias again? If I were to replace them I'd like to find the type that were in these amps, if their still available.


    Here's a pic and schematic. It's easy to pick out the 3 resistors.

      Thats just retarded. 200 bux just for 5 old stock resistors? Pass.....
