  • Looking for Respectable Vintage Fender Amp Collectors

Can you guys help me find the contact information for respectable vintage Fender amp collectors? I have begun collecting and am in the market for these amps:
Blackface Deluxe Re verb = vintage 1964 to early 1965
    Tweed Bassman = vintage 1960 to 1958
    Tweed Bandmaster = Vintage 1957 to 1958
    Tweed Deluxe = vintage 1958 to 1960

Also can you recommend a good trade or collector's group. I've looked on the internet and am spinning my wheels.
    Thanks,
    Les

To be able to buy what you're looking for you really just gotta keep scrummiging around, as well as be willing to pay a little more than the next guy[in some cases]. Other collectors are doing just that, collecting. Good luck to you, there are some nice amps to be found but it takes good old fashioned legwork to find them, and a little trust if you're dealing over the net.

If you are willing to spend that kind of money, it may be worth a road trip. The guitar show in Arlington, Texas (just outside of Dallas) is in mid-October and is generally very large and there are always tons of dealers there. If you find more than one dealer with an amp you want, then you are in a position to deal. Do your homework and ask to look under the hood.
