  • Silvertone 1482 PT hunt

Some years ago I was on the hunt for a Silvertone 1482 power transformer. I found it from a member (in New Zealand I believe) who had removed it when refitting the amp to run on 230V. Well, I am , once again, seeking a power tranny for another 1482.
I am looking for a laydown mount PT with the stamping "P 14F" on the lower bell. If you have one kicking around, let me know. I am also open to purchasing a spare OT. It is ink stamped "092F" on the paper wrapping.
If you have replaced a Silvertone 1482 power transformer recently and know who sells one and what model number transformer to buy (to best fit it the circuit and in the physical location) let me know.
    Thanks again for your help!!

I am not aware if you know, but as overpriced as they are Mercury Magnectics do make PT and OT for these amps. Just look under Silvertone. I think if you want a multi-tap PT for 230V and other international voltages, the part number is SIL-1482-P/E.

I have one of these amps too and they sound great! Although the best upgrade to these is replacing that cheap Fisher speaker. It is amazing how much the tone will open up with a better speaker. I have a Weber Signature 12" Alnico in mine now that sounds great.
