  • Fender M80 Chorus , help about transformer

    Hi!
    I've received a Fender M 80 Chorus that works at 120 V but in my country i have a 220 V power.
I've read that i could use a transformer but i don't know what type of transformer i need.
    Can you help me please?
    Thank you.

Edit: reading this schematic i've found on the forum http://music-electronics-forum.com/a...-6a4-diode.pdf , i saw that there is a possibility tho choose the input power (100 V,120 V,220 V,240 V):this feature is implemented in every m80 chorus or only in "for export" models?

You need a step-down transformer that converts 220 to 110. Any electronics shop should be able to help you. You could also check ebay if you feel lucky.

      thank you for the reply.
So, is impossible to make a bridge to change the input power in the amplifer as shown in the schematic i've posteb before?
In this case, how can i choose the transformer?
I red that some people calculate the VA of the transformer, con you tell me how can i calculate it?
