    Hello, did Fender ever used both 220uF (or so) caps as a voltage divider? To obtain something like 240 or 250 volts.
    Those are the two big filter caps right after the rectifier that were connected in series to support higher voltage rating.
    The amp I'm working in is a bit butchered, but I believe this part is original.

    This is an export model and doesn't have a choke.

    Sounds like a "135W Ultralinear" twin (see schematicheaven.com). Check for OT taps feeding the 6L6 screens and bias supply caps mounted in the cap pan...and a hum balance pot...and very scruffy wiring...and "135 Watts" printed on the back panel of course.
