  • CTS Pot Code

I've got some CTS Pots with #'s 137942 and 77-001-367. I thought CTS pots had a 7 digit code of 137xxxx with las two digits representing the week and the middle digits representing the year. I'm inclined to think that these pots are from the 42nd week of 1959. They came from an old Bogen M330 cathode biased 2x6l6 amp. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks.

137 is CTS's manufacturer number. 9 is the last digit of the year (59? 69?). 42 would be the week it was stamped. You guess the decade by overall inspection of the equipment (other date codes), and when it was likely manufactured. Replacement parts can muddle things occasionally.

Thanks Dave! I pulled another that was coded 1376009, so I guess the others were '59.
