  • Princeton 6g2 power transformer?

EDB291AX.pdfHey guys , i'm about to replace the power transformer in my 64 Princeton 6g2 and I have a spec sheet from Hammond for the 291ax power transformer. i want to be sure that this is the one I need as a direct replacement. could you guys have a look at the spec sheet and let me know if i have the right one? disregard the attachment for the EDB 290CAX.

    Chuck.

EBD291AX looks closest (to 125P1B). EDB290CAX is a little lower voltage, but should drop in fit-wise a bit more current handling...it's not a direct replacement, but it's the one I'd go for.

The later GZ34 equipped 6G2 (blackface, white barrel knobs) ran more voltage than the earlier brown amps (125P1A PT).

I'd be looking for ~400-410vdc on the 6V6 plates.

So the EBD291AX is the one that would be the closest match?
