  • Help me find my old amp.

Or at least tell me what model it was It was an old airline much like this montgomery ward airline guitar amp - Bing Images but was only had three knobs. Vol, bass, treble. It also had a matching cab with a single big ass speaker like mabe a 15". It also had three inputs that all sounded th same. Thanks everyone!

Had one similar last year or so.
I gifted it to a friend.
    Just the head, no cabs.

The amp in the photo is an old Ward's 6L6 PA amp.
I bought one in "inop condition" here in Denver a couple years ago for $20.00 and refurbed it for around $50 worth of tubes and parts... I think I got around $250-$275 for it then.

Thanks Bruce! I've never found pictures of one just like mine. Mine used two 6L6's, two 12ax7's and solid state rect, three inputs. Do you think mine could have been a PA also? Or maybe an all in one amp for a couple guitars and a bass with the big ass 15" speaker?

Thanks Enzo! I'm betting it was the GIM 9111A. Pretty basic amp.

Looks like that listing was pulled, not sold?

I'd probably put $250 on the head I gave to the friend.
The reverb is lush for certain...6V6GT dedicated.
All I did was tack some new filter and bias caps in, kept the rest stock.
Yes, the wire nut is not in the finished amp!

Let me find a pic and model #.

                    A wonderful wasteland of ceramics.
We were wondering if the bread ties were original.
                    They sure looked it!
