  • looking for Northcourt 30 info

Just bought a working 1965 (UK) Northcourt 30 head on ebay.

I'm looking for schematics - particularly the spec on the main transformer - so I can replace the (looks hand wound) 220vac/50hz input transformer and use USA 115vac/60hz.

    Any suggestions?

Days of searching have turned up nothing more than references to this mid-60's 'poor man's Marshall JTM 45' knock off - but no clues on where to get specs.

So if it is more or less a JTM 45, then look at the JTM 45 drawings. Ought to be close if that is the case.

I assume the only real question is the B+ winding. Since the amp works, connect 220 to it and measure the voltages inside. The voltages on the secondary side will be the same regardless of 120/220. the 50/60Hz thing shouldn't make much difference.
