Heres a crude drawing of how the heaters are wired ....hope it helps---ive never seen heaters wired like this...is it because of the added transformer?

It's because someone messed it up pretty bad. Lots of errors.
You would have to go through the entire schematic and verify everything just to be sure.

No reason to change the heater wiring.

Not all of these widow makers had series string tubes, see this harmony had a extra small transformer just for 1 tube.
