Univox U1061 B+ needs lowering

Well, the bastard is back!
Customer claims that the amp is tripping his outlet breaker.(but not the 3 A amplifier fuse).

Is there a preference to which line voltage input wire is 'bucked'?

Is it tripping a breaker or a GFCI/GFI/RCD/RCBO?
Did you remove the death cap?
