  • Capacitor value

I have a capacitor listed as 250mm on the schematic. What value is this if I need to order one?
    also I have a .05uf/200v can this be replaced with a .047/600?

    Can you share the schematic?
It probably means micro-micro (µµ) farad - an outdated term for picofarad, so should be 250pF in modern terminology. Is it the treble cap in a tonestack?

...... and yes, you can use the .047uF/600V in place of the .5uF/200V.

It's in the area of the tremolo of a 1959 fender concert.
        thanks for the feedback.
it does have ine on the treble tone as well.

            As Greg said, It's a 250pf.

Are you sure it's bad? Those square caps are pretty reliable. Unless cracked.

Yes, I agree. There's no reason to just randomly replace caps because they are old.

I am replacing the one next to it. I never said I was replacing that one.
