Wanted: Vox Essex V4 bass amp service guide, schematic (Not V-4A)

    Does anyone have:
    * The Service Guide, Schematic to Vox Essex V4 bass amp? (Not the V-4A). The Schematic is likely from 1965. The Service guide is likely 1965, possibly early 1966.

The V4, not the V-4A. The V4A schematic is widely available, but I cannot find the V4 documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day.

You already opened a post with exact same topic.

That post was under Schematics and this was under Repair, because I was told I should try and find the Vox Service Guide for the V4, which apparently has additional pages beyond the schematic.

The V1042 and V1043 have the two-transistor Tone-X switching circuit shown on the bottom tag strip. It got gnarly by accretion, like a coral reef - they just kept adding on more tagstrip stuff to make new models. If it had a tuner module on the cabinet back panel, it's a V1043, the last one in the series.
So not the schematics V1041-V1043 and we only need to find V104. But we know that V1041 has only added the two transistor limiter so that schematic would be good too. Btw this post was from RG on that other thread you posted to in May. I only post this for clarity.

How good of condtion is the ground connection between preamp and poweramp?
When the going gets weird... The weird turn pro!

#4. Thank you for your response but that photo RG was referring to was from a different member. Today I added new photos of my amp to the thread under Schematics that RG responded too. I would like to close this thread because it's now redundant but I do not see the option to close it.

And thank you for your suggestion I will have my father check the ground between the preamp and the Poweramp.

We don't have the option of closing threads, but we can provide a link to the other thread for reference: https://music-electronics-forum.com/...matic-not-v-4a
