Supro Valco

I have what I think is a mid 50s Supro Valco 1650t Brentwood, the serial # is X66329. I would like to find a schematic for it, but no luck so far......Les

I just looked through schematicheaven.com and didn't see that model. Of course Valco made amps for many brands, and sometimes it's necessary to look at Gretch, and others to find the schematic.

What is the tube line-up on that one?? Sometimes the layout helps identify what it is.
Where did you find that number on the amp? I've had a National 510-1B since new in 1950, and there's not a clue on it anywhere as to the circuit /model. If I hadn't worked on it over the years I wouldn't have known the circuit number.

Bill, thanks for the reply, I am not sure what is meant by the tube line-up but here is a list of the tubes that are listed by the tube sockets. 6JS5-GT/ 6L6G/ 6L6G/ 6SC7 . The 6L6 tubes that are in the amp are marked 6L6GB. There are three more tubes on a seperate board; 5879/ 6SJ7/ 6SQ7. There are three instrument plugins, two regular and one treble. One hige gain plugin for a mike and one for a foot switch for the tremolo. The serial number is on a small metal tag at the bottom of the back of the case, about 1/4 by 1 inch. This amp has two 6 by 9 inch speakers.

There is something familiar about the tubes and the 6 by 9 speakers. I seem to remember an amp like that, except it had 6V6s and not 6L6s. The 6L6s may have been put in place of the 6V6s (??)
Where did you find a model number?? That serial number is early 50s according to the list I saw. That list is on the net and can be Googled to find it . Seems to me that two 6L6s would be crowding a pair of 6X9 speakers, but it has the types noted near the sockets, it must so.
I keep checking around for more info.

Try a site called valcoamps.com They have pictures etc, and you can contact them.. They may be able to ident that amp with a picture.

Bill, the speakers are 6x11 not 6x9 as I said earlier.I tried valcoamps.com, no luck so I dropped "s" and bingo, got on with no problem. Thanks again for your help.....Les

If you had managed to find these schematics, or any other info , could I trouble you to forward them my way?
