  • 1966 Vibrolux Reverb Speaker Question

I'm working on a Vibrolux Reverb that has the original two 10" Jensen ceramic speakers.Unfortunately the speakers rub at high volume.A very strange sound.........
While reconing the speakers is always an option,I'm curious what speakers others might recommend as replacements in this amp.
Thanks for any and all comments, suggestions etc.............................................

It really does depend on what you are playing.
    Twas mine, I'd get Greenbacks.

If the owner has always like the amp as is I would redone the speakers. But I would use a recover that reguasses the magnets and breaks the cones in. Webber used to do it. I don't know if they still do. You might call them and get their take in any event.

I used a pair of Eminence alnico blues in a '66 Vibrolux and LOVED the sound of them. I still use one in my '66 Princeton. Great speakers and you don't have to give up a pile of dollars to get 'em.
