Happy NEW YEARS!!!!!!
I copied Bruces phrase into google [don't remember exactly but...'Celestion Bulldog Alnico Blue G12 Speaker'..
and read about this 'beefed up radio speaker.
I want to run it on a <15w 5e3, I Don't want to damage it.
Right now it's in with a Fender 'blue' speaker which draws half the load off the celestion [for safety].
Compared to my other Alnico's [greenbacks, modified Goodmans and 'radio' speakers that are 'fragile' and very responsive]..or anything else I've heard..
It's my #1 choice. Superb upgrade.
Then I read about Red Fangs, Fanes, Jensens, and tone tubby's.
I don't know if the higher wattage 12's or 12's with say kapton etc. [modern 'beefings methods] really get the same responsiveness...from what I read the TT's and the bulldogs are front runners, TT for 'less highs' [so to speak] and the celestions for 'less bass'....I'm sure it's a way under/overstatement based on review reads...I found a TT thread with more '10' reviews than I could count.
