Happy NEW YEARS!!!!!!
It is now working.
I cross my fingers for the schem not being necessary in the near future, because there is really no reference in the internet for this brand of amps.
The owner plugged the output of a tube amp into this solid state amp's input.
And this is the second amp that came in because of this in the last 30 days...
Both amps blew in the first case, but only the solid state one in this present case.
Is plugging one amp straight in to another such a common mistake?
Yes, just from reading amp discussions on guitar boards, I hear it all the time, either as a "can I do it?" question or from someone wanting to know why their amp doesn't work anymore after trying it.
And people also get attenuators intended to run speakers at reduced volume and dummy loads with line-out for another amp confused.
