ok random question if the two input wires on my reverb pan where broken could that cause r20 and r21 on the pre amp to over heat and no sound to come out of the amp

      Friendly advise.
      Start a new thread.
      This one is old.
      Anyway.
Marshall schematics are terrible when it comes to component designators.
R2 could be next to R99.
So by asking about R20 & R21 on the preamp board, you are making someone look through the whole schematic trying to find these parts.
There are three boards to the VS100.
      Preamp.
      Daughter .
      Power.
So, do you have the schematic?
If so, post it so we can read it.
I cannot find R20 & R21 on the Preamp board.
I found them on the Daughter & the Power boards.
Help us out by specifying where the components are on the board.
ie: coming off of ICxxx, pin xxx.

Yeah, what Jazz said. Welcome to the forum from a fellow Michigander. But really, start a new thread.

And a quick answer to your question, no, broken wires inside the reverb pan will not burn up any resistors.

Those two resistors are feeding the voltage regulators, and are normally pretty hot.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
