Peavey M2600 Mark V

One of the drivers to the output transistors is dead.

Its in a TO126 case, its NPN and its marked 833 and 5332. Its not a BD833 or a 2N5332..

Anyone got a schematic, a parts list or any intelligent suggestions on how to ID it?

Enzo has posted a copy of Peavey's transistor substitution charts on the forum before. Try the search function to find it.

edit: this old thread: http://music-electronics-forum.com/t6759/ suggests it's a SJE5332, Peavey's house number for the MJE253.

Whenever those little drivers are burnt out, ALWAYS look for open resistors associated with them.
