I have an Ampec B-2RE bass amp and it just now happened that when I switch on the power the fan automatically kicks in and doesn't stop. The amp also doesn't produce any sound at all.
Ideas ?

According to the flow chart in the user manual, (attached) (on page 8) the output relay will disengage on:
Thermal Shutdown
Low Voltage
DC Protect
The fact that the fan is running tells me that it may be a failed component giving a false trigger.
I have attached the B2-2 schematic. I am not sure it is the same.
Look at the fan circuit. There are some test points where you can take some readings. Specifically TP 17 & 18.
The LM35 is an IC that outputs a voltage according to temperature. It may have failed high.
I would contact Loud Technologies for the schematic.
They may require model & serial number.
