  • Behringer K3000FX no output (sound) NEED HELP

Hello, new to the forum. I picked up a Behringer k3000FX that still had a price tag on it but missing the FX control button. the unit was made in 05. Powers up, lights on, put a cd player into CD in and no sound output. Found two fuses and both appear to be fine. Quick inspection no hot spots and no broken wires. I have a meter and am looking for some advice. Thanks

In my limited experience with these it's often the power amp that fails.
So does the headphone output work?
If so that should show that the preamp is working.
If not check for plus and minus 15v supply on a 4580 chip between pin 8 and ground +15 and between pin 4 and gnd -15 volts.

Speaker ok? Check the power transistors for collector emitter shorts..
whoops just realised may use mosfets well check between the centre
and outside pins for a low ohms reading.
Although if they were shorted you would think it would blow the fuse so could be open.
Should be at least plus and minus 40 volts on the sources.
This post may give you a better idea of the pwr amp
although its a lower wattage version it may help
