An acquaintance of mine has (and I have yet to see this thing) a piano / tube organ hybrid that he bought for the piano. I was bartering with him for a 12" instrument speaker to put in a (free) Marshall mg8080rcd (don't say it, I know) whose speaker was salvaged by the previous owner, and he brought this thing up, which has a 12" speaker he was going to trade to me for some old computer parts. It got me thinking - if this thing has a working tube organ that he doesn't want, repurposing the organ amp as a guitar / bass amp would be a much better project (and much better use of the speaker) than a ho hum SS practice amp. He claims the tubes aren't glowing blue and the thing works, which sounds good to me. Only problem: I can't find anything anywhere about it on the web. I suppose a schematic is too much to hope for, but has anyone even seen anything like this?
Manufacturer - Jesse French & Sons (lots on these guys - made bazillions of pianos and organs back as far as 1890s) not sure about serial #
Apparently it's a piano, but driven from the keyboard, there's also a tube based organ built into it - something about a pull out something or other.
He lives a ways off, so I'd like to be as prepared as possible before making the trek to see the thing and hopefully de-mate thge organ from the piano...
