  • Carvin PA800 cutting out at low input volume - Boston MA

Hello and thanks in advance for the help.

I have a Carvin PA800. The other night at a gig, we plugged and electric piano and microphone into it. We noticed that if the piano output was set low, it would stop sending sound to the speakers and no sound would come out. But a tap on the microphone would wake it up. This happened more in the beginning of the gig rather than later.

Was wondering if anyone knew what I could do or a place I could bring it in the Boston area

    Thanks again!

Powered mixer? My first reaction is the patch jacks, specifically POWER AMP IN or if it has one GRAPHIC IN. Poke a plug in and out of those a couple times to see if it wakes up the amp. If it does, then the jacks need cleaning or replacing.
