Lin Topology Primer

Is there a primer on the Lin Topology that explains different input and voltage amplification stages and various schemes of compensation for these amps?

Douglas Self's "Audio Power Amplifier Design Handbook" is the best resource I know of on this subject. He has got incredible performance out of the classic Lin-type power amp circuit. Some material from the book is available online at his website.

That's quite a book. I can see it's going to take a while to wade though like Pressman's SMPS book. At least all the answers I'm looking for ought to be in there somewhere.
