I checked the caps and I'm sure I checked R41 but to be honest I can't think which component on the board that was specifically so I will check again tomorrow. R42 and TP11 are next to each other on the board and I checked most things in that vicinity.
The regulator I haven't removed to check in isolation but it seems to be functioning in the circuit now. So far I've managed to do all this without removing the board, as R42 stands so tall above the board I could snip the old one out and trace the new one onto the old legs, so if I have to remove the board I will swap the regulator to be on the safe side, but so far managing without.

R41 reading out fine at 10ohm. I hadn't checked that one thought as I had just been round all the 2W resistors and hadn't checked the 1/4W ones.
Again regulator working in circuit but I haven't got the knowledge/equipment to test it in isolation.
Amplifier still working for the time being.
