And I thought cheap caps were made in Havana by older ladies whose thighs were too wrinkled to roll cigars.

WIMA are perfectly good caps. Some years ago before high-figh snooties went for silver foil & teflon caps that cost a weeks' wages, WIMA were highly regarded, used for upgrading old Dyna, Heath, McIntosh, Marantz tube amps. Old Fenders & Marshalls etc too. Hassle was, they're box-shaped and the repair person had to add extra wire to reach the circuit points. You won't have this problem. Some brands of more modern hifi & MI gear have factory installed WIMA caps, can't say I've ever seen a failed one. Gets my approval, no problem.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

Vishay 1813 for caps when possible.
Vishay MKT368 for caps when possible.
          Vishay RL series resistors.
Panasonic or Nichicon Electrolytics or Nichicon MUSE (in key spots).

            Thanks ALL!

I don't know why I'm so hesitant whenever I buy new electrical 'stuff', but I am.
