my vsx-30 had stop turning on and i noticed that the second relay after the transformer is not clicking then i saw that r186 was burned but i can not find the value for the resistor from what i could see it looked like 100 ohms but could someone confirm

Here is the service manual, https://elektrotanya.com/pioneer_vsx.../download.html

it looks like a 22ohm 1/4watt, but resistors don't just burn for no reason. There will most likely be other issues a little above my knowledge level.

No lights on receiver? Do you have a multimeter?

              "nothing happens"

              Come on!

              How about some voltage checks.

              Sheesh.

Make sure no speakers are connected. Put your meter leads on one channel set to DC Volts. Turn stereo on while watching meter. Write down numbers before relay clicks and after. Repeat on the other speaker channel..

no speakers are shorted and all voltages are there except for the 5 v on the front panel
