Will this amp work for me???

Well, I guess I'll start by getting a XLR mic with better quality than the ones we have now and go from there. All I need it to do is give me enough volume to be heard in practice, I'm confident that if it can keep up there I'll be okay about anywhere we'll play for a while cuz we tend to play pretty loud in practice. Thanks to everyone who helped out..especially ricach =).

Just one final question, is there a possibility I'll blow the amp by using a compressor/sustainer guitar pedal as a pre-amp if I push it too hard?

I didn't see where you said what model this PA amp is....so I have no way to respond.

These are the "best bang for the buck" microphone a novice singer/player can buy.
Of course you will have to cough up about $10-$15 for each XLR mic cable.
